The orchestra is a returning guest of our festival. Except for one, they’ve played in all five churches, always with a special program suiting the church. We are fulfilling our old promise delayed by the restoration of the Old Church as this year we can listen to the celebratory performance in the Lutheran Old Church in the reformation remembrance year. On the concert of the Pénzügyőr Zenekar we will hear the tooter versions of popular compositions, framed by the covers of the coral “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”. With the song commonly known as the hymn of the Lutheran church is originating from Martin Luther, the program connects to the reformation remembrance year.
The ensemble is a renowned brass orchestra country-wide. The leading conductor is Ferenc Horváth-Kapi, the conductor is Alex Nyers.
