by utopiasynth.hu

UTOPIA SYNTH proudly presents its first public, all-day family festival in Budapest, where live electronic music productions, interactive instrument exhibitions, fascinating video projections and exciting professional discussions come together in one common, inspiring space for a weekend.

Patrons of our previous, highly acclaimed conferences and exhibitions were Jean-Michel Jarre (2016) and Suzanne Ciani (2025).

Now, in addition to the legendary vintage synthesizers, the world of retro computer games comes to life, available for both young and old to try out.

Time travel in the realm of sounds! Our program recalls the heroic age of electronic music, in which the first electro-acoustic music studios were established, synthesizers became widespread and epoch-making works were created. Discover the pioneering research and development of the past that laid the foundation for today's diverse electronic music genre, from popular to contemporary.

Our guests are the pioneers of Hungarian electroacoustic music: composer István Szigeti and sound engineer István Horváth.
