The Tiger Lillies at A38 Ship on December 14!

Death catches up with all of us sooner or later. The Tiger Lillies, however, prefer to meet it halfway.

For more than four decades, the iconic London trio, with over 40 albums to their name, have created their own unique world of dark cabaret, punk, chanson and anarchic opera. In their universe, sadness comes with black humor, the grotesque meets beauty, and tragedy is accompanied by a generous dose of absurdity.

Songs for the Dead begins precisely where most people would rather look away: with death. Grief, the afterlife, murder, remembrance, mortality, and the rather strange fact that one day, everything comes to an end.

Martyn Jacques, Adrian Stout and Budi Butenop revisit The Tiger Lillies classics including Heroin, Gin and Crack of Doom, alongside new songs, creating an evening where the dead sing, the living listen, and tragedy can sometimes make you laugh when you least expect it.

This December, the band returns to Budapest once again, this time to the A38 Ship!
