~ A laugh-and-cry punk opera in 12 scenes, based on a true story. ~

Grandpa Imre sues his ex-grandson József. According to the Grandfather, Jószef insulted
him, his deceased relatives and his current wife in his novel entitled Birds. Because of the
novel his social contacts and his social persona were destroyed. He even got a fatal illness.
According to József, the novel is only fiction, a figment of his imagination. Who is right?
The performance reveals the story of a family torn apart by generational curses. Is there a
limit to creative freedom? What effects can be triggered in our families and communities,
if we dare to talk about the ugly stuff?

The performance is inspired by several works of the Roma writer József Holdosi, like
"Kányák" , a magical realist novel about the adventures of a Roma family and "Hajh,
cigányok, hajh kányák".
