Spring Forest Walk with Zsuzsanna Kray, Sustainability Education Expert
Connect with the forest microclimate,
- so that a peaceful forest path is not just the screensaver on your monitor,
- because feeling real moss is more enjoyable than caressing a mouse or touchpad,
- and swap your work music for birdsong!
We invite you to a participatory and nature-connecting walk as a relaxing Friday afternoon activity, where we take steps towards reconnecting with nature, counteracting the growing disconnect between humans and nature, and offering personal solutions to the climate and biodiversity crises of our time.
Okay, but what will we do?
During the walks, we use an experience-based participatory method, which includes both a shift in perspective and suggested mindfulness practices. We also place significant emphasis on individual and group sharing.
Specifically?
Prepare for a calm walk of a few kilometers with little elevation and many stops, consciously slowing down.
What should I bring?
Openness to something new, curiosity, good humor, and interest. Bring yourself and your presence.
Should I bring a backpack?
Enough water is essential, and if you get hungry easily, a sandwich or muesli bar will come in handy. Bring something to sit on (a towel works perfectly). Mosquito/tick repellent might also be useful. Keep in mind to check the weather beforehand and take one more layer – natural spaces often felt cooler.
Should I come?
Come! Let’s (re)connect with nature, in great company, and with good vibes.
For KAPTÁR members, registration is FREE.
Suggested departure from KAPTÁR: 4 PM
The walk will only be cancelled in dangerous weather conditions, so be prepared with appropriate outdoor clothing. Comfortable trainers and light boots may be sufficient. The event is for adults and human beings
