AL DI MEOLA ACOUSTIC TRIO
“For me, music is a dialogue with the soul of the world. When I play, I search for what connects us — beauty, rhythm, silence.” – Al Di Meola
Al Di Meola, a living legend of guitar music, is one of the world’s most influential and versatile musicians. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has bridged genres and continents. A master of jazz, Latin, and world music, his playing is defined by virtuosity, passion, and refinement.
At his upcoming concert, Al Di Meola takes the stage with an acoustic trio. His partners, Peo Alfonsi and Sergio Martinez, are acclaimed artists of the international world-music scene, whose perfect musical synergy supports the soaring improvisations of the guitar maestro. Throughout the evening, the trio will perform Di Meola’s original compositions, arrangements of Piazzolla, as well as new and freshly crafted pieces—all in exceptional musical harmony.
Al Di Meola’s name is synonymous with the art of the guitar. Over the course of his career, he has performed with iconic musicians such as Chick Corea, Paco de Lucía, and John McLaughlin. From the legendary era of Return to Forever to contemporary crossover projects, he has always preserved his unmistakable sound: a singular blend where Mediterranean lyricism, South American passion, and the freedom of jazz converge.
The acoustic trio performance featuring Peo Alfonsi and Sergio Martinez promises a true musical journey—intimate, virtuosic, and profoundly human. An evening in which music not only sounds, but tells stories, breathes, and embraces.
