PAT METHENY | SIDE-EYE III+
The Sweeping Power of a New Era from the Guitar Genius
Few musicians can reinvent themselves with the freshness and creative momentum that Pat Metheny brings. The multi-Grammy-winning guitar virtuoso’s latest project, Side-Eye, is not just a band but a constantly evolving workshop where Metheny collaborates with some of the most exciting talents of the young American jazz generation. Side-Eye III+ is the newest chapter of this concept, a bold, energetic and brilliantly constructed formation in which the legendary guitarist reveals previously unseen sides of himself in an inspiring musical environment.
At the concert, the well-known themes of Metheny’s body of work will be heard in completely new interpretations. The young members of Side-Eye III+ add fresh rhythmic ideas, electronics and unexpected improvisations to the repertoire, while Metheny leads them with elegance and natural ease in their collective playing.
Side-Eye III+ is not a nostalgic retrospection but the vibrant pulse of the present moment — a testament to Pat Metheny’s undiminished creativity.

BÁLINT GYÉMÁNT TRIO
One of the most famous jazz guitarists in Hungary, Bálint Gyémánt, renewed his trio with young musicians. The main guiding principles of the team’s work together are freedom, experimentation and the search for new opportunities that have always been part of the basic concept of jazz.
“The trio is my personal creative workshop, where I can work with my exceptional, inspiring artist friends. Although we play my own compositions, my partners always play a major role in creating the sound. I feel like each formation is my own, but the trio reflects my own musical language the most. Pushing the boundaries and looking for new musical directions has always been important to me, which is why I wanted to create this fresh concept together with a new rhythm section", says Bálint Gyémánt, who works with Vince Bartók and Dániel Ferenc Szabó in his renewed trio. These young musicians are prominent members of their generation who not only speak the traditional language of jazz fluently, but even the most modern trends have a serious impact on their instrumental playing. The special feature of the trio's sound is that in addition to the acoustic drum, electric tones are also heard. Thus, although the orchestral line-up remained the classical jazz trio, the world of sound has become much more modern thanks to the technical equipment and effects, which also leaves more room for the creativity of the musicians.

LOWLAND
Lowland was founded by Áron Horváth, who dreamed of creating a musical world that is flexible, calmly flowing, beautiful, and yet avant-garde in sound. The young cimbalom player chose influential and versatile artists from the Hungarian music scene as his partners, all of whom have extremely individual styles and maintain good relationships with each other in their private lives. They draw their inspiration primarily from northern jazz, avant-garde, contemporary and minimalist classical music, free music and post-rock bands, including the art of Jakob Bro, Paul Motian and Sigur Rós.
János Ávéd - saxophone
Márton Fenyvesi - guitar
Illés Szabó - guitar

BENDEGÚZ VARGA QUARTET FEAT. KONCZ KRISZTA
Bendegúz Varga’s album, to be released in the spring of 2026, is a concept record. It reimagines iconic, and in some cases lesser-known but personally significant songs from the Seattle grunge-rock movement that flourished in the early 1990s, reworked through the musical language of modern mainstream jazz. Although the material consists of rock covers rather than original compositions, the quartet has succeeded in making the repertoire distinctly their own through inventive arrangements and improvisation. A notable new element of the album is the inclusion of vocal tracks alongside instrumental pieces. To interpret melodies originally made famous by male rock singers, Bendegúz invited Kriszta Koncz, winner of the Audience Award at the 2024 Müpa Jazz Showcase. With her deep-toned, emotionally rich voice, the feminine principle subtly emerges within this decidedly masculine musical context, giving the songs an entirely new meaning.
