Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Jazzation is Hungary's leading jazz a cappella ensemble, whose members demonstrate without instruments that the musical experience can be complete even when there are only five of them standing and singing on stage. It is no coincidence that the group has won four international competitions, and their latest album, which was awarded one of the most prestigious prizes, the Grammy of the a cappella world, in Boston, was presented to a double sold-out audience in the Grand Hall of the Academy of Music. Their cartoon music compilation, created for the 110th anniversary of Hungarian animation, which debuted as an extra production of The Voice 2024, was viewed by more than two million people online.
The members of the ensemble are the finest in the vocal genre: Katus Várallyay, Sára Bolyki, Gina Kanizsa, Barnabás Bolyki, and Máté Homor are all great singers who are most proud of having played with such wonderful musicians as the world-famous Bobby McFerrin and the British giants of modern a cappella, the King's Singers. Jazzation's main focus is jazz, but its varied repertoire also draws on world folk music and old Hungarian chansons.
