Swedish double bassist Joel Grip and French pianist Simon Sieger’s music follow a rather simple recipe: they play whatever they want, no matter if it’s 60s American jazz, focused free improvisation, oldschool swing, music from exotic cultures, Berlin cabaret hits, beat poetry or even a cat food commercial.
They are also known for playing with groups such as the Art Ensemble of Chicago and [Ahmed]; their collaborators include Moor Mother, Tristan Honsinger, Axel Dörner, Martin Küchen, Szilárd Mezei and many more.
In our series you can hear them this time at the Három Holló with Gergő Kováts (Kovász, BIO), Ernő Hock (Jü, Less Is More) and Attila Gyárfás (Kovász, Wahorn 3).
