Beginner Jaw Harp Workshop – with Áron Szilágyi

Áron has been playing the jaw harp since the age of three. His father, Zoltán Szilágyi, is a world-renowned jaw harp maker, and Áron himself is also an instrument maker. He is the General Secretary of the Switzerland-based International Jew’s Harp Society, an organizer of international jaw harp festivals, an editor of publications, a teacher, museum director, and leader of the band Zoord. He has toured and taught from Tokyo to Tiszakécske, from Lajosmizse to New York.

This workshop is also an inner journey – towards an ancient vibration that lives within all of us.

You will learn how to play the instrument with confidence and awareness, exploring the fundamentals and deeper aspects of rhythm, breathing, and sound shaping.

For beginners, it offers a safe, hands-on and inspiring introduction to the world of the jaw harp. For more experienced players, it brings fresh perspectives, new inspiration, and dynamic techniques. Throughout the workshop, learning is personal, practical, and direct.
