We are happy to welcome you to the first Dorombuli festival! The festival was entirely built around the theme of the Jew’s harp instrument. There will be workshops where you will be able to make your own Jew’s harp. You will use cold or hot metal (forge) to work on the instrument.
Of course you can also learn to play on them. There will be many colorful bands from all around the world, from Italy to Russia. You are all welcome from the heart!
Our three-day programme was entirely built around the theme of the Jew’s harp. Enjoy our fantastic speakers from all over the world!

The first speaker of the Dorombuli is a true polyhistor. Albin Paulus is an internationally acclaimed virtuoso who is a master of the horn, bagpipe, yodelling and acrobatics of sound. His performances enchant audiences with his music and personality, full of fun and charm. The Austrian performer is replaced by Adele. Thursday’s musical programme continues with the Slovakian ensemble Kapre, who blend various musical influences into their sound world. The band performs a perfect fusion of classic rock, jazz, psytrance, ethnic and world music. Following Kapre will be the Irish trio O’Deyan, representing a subtle fusion of traditional and electronic music. Their music blends flutes and electric bagpipes with the deep sounds of the didgeridoo and the doromb.
The trio will be replaced by a solo performance by Greg, a member of Hilight Tribe, one of the icons of electro-instrumental music. Their genre of music is described as “Natural Trance”, interpreted entirely by musicians, and finds its source in both avant-garde electronic styles and traditional world music. At midnight, Atara will perform, who started her musical career as an indie-rock performer. After becoming a mother, the folk lineage has become more and more prominent in her music. Thursday will close with DJ Aito, a true all-rounder. His musical palette is vast and varied, ranging from psychedelic rock to oriental music, further coloured by Psytek, Hi-tech, Tribe, Tekno, Funky Tekno and Funkedelic styles.
Friday opens with a true polyhistor. Yaroslav Nevertii is a geographer, etymologist and renowned artist of countless instruments. He aims to convey the divine vibration found in all living beings. BaZard will be replaced on stage by Ildar Gimadiev, who plays the drums in various styles: electro, house, techno, trance, drum and bass, dub and many more. The Russian-born artist is replaced by Korai Electric. The Hungarian formation’s performance is accompanied by percussive drums and bass, guitar, doromb, fujara and Khomey diatonic vocals, transported to Asian, Berber, Spanish and Indian landscapes, made even more magical by the synthesizer.
The long-established band is replaced by Liquid Soul, the civil name Nicola Capobianco. The Swiss DJ and producer started his career in 1993 and delved into the world of psychedelic trance by 2001. The day will end with a powerful, naturalistic grounding groove, as the Hungarian band Jumbuy is known for.
On Saturday, we will be introduced to the healing music of Rob Robinzen, which combines ancient Hindu shamanism with the Hungarian sound world. The world-renowned healer is replaced by Lili Labus’s ethereal voice and unique performance. Taking over from Lili is Miesterjaan, a unique artist in every sense of the word. The Estonian-born musician bridges the gap between the ancient and the modern world by combining the ancient dulcimer and the analogue synthesizer.
MiestenJaan will be followed by incredibly energetic and joyful tunes courtesy of the band Zord. Music for the soul, the heart, and those who want to dance is performed with a true Hungarian soul. The Transylvanian-born ensemble will be replaced by a dynamic musical project called AkashaLive. Their soundscape is a true cultural fusion, made truly unforgettable by their soulful performance.
Akashalive is being followed by the powerful techno, trance improvisational performance of Ataya, the one-man band. At midnight, a surprise artist will throw a huge party that will surely not disappoint. The 2024 Dorombuli will close with an energetic intergalactic space journey courtesy of Space Man and his galactic friend.
