A punk, metal, pop, shoegaze és kabaré határain egyensúlyozó, kritikailag elismert, Mexikóból érkező Descartes a Kant különleges, kiszámíthatatlan és színházias élő produkciójával szerzett magának komoly hírnevet. Szeptember 22-én Budapestre érkeznek, hogy az A38 Hajó színpadán is megmutassák azt a világot, amiről még a The Wall Street Journal is úgy fogalmazott: „megpróbálni leírni a zenéjüket egyenesen méltatlan vállalkozás. Hangos, provokatív, elképesztően kreatív, kifinomult, humoros és vad; mintha a Yeah Yeah Yeahs élén Albert Ayler állna, miközben Frank Zappa vezényel.” A zenekart a folyamatosan változó és pezsgő mexikói experimental underground egyik meghatározó alakjaként tartják számon, és most a nemzetközi áttörés küszöbén állnak.

Equal parts Punk, Metal, Pop, Shoegaze and Cabaret, the critically-acclaimed underground Descartes a Kant (Guadalajara, Mexico) have made a real name for themselves as an otherworldly, unpredictable theatrical live act. So much so that even the Wall Street Journal chimed to say that “trying to describe their music is to do it a disservice. It’s loud, racy, incredibly imaginative, sophisticated, funny and wild; it’s as if the Yeah Yeah Yeahs fronted Albert Ayler with Frank Zappa conducting”. They’re considered one of the leading lights in the vibrant, ever-evolving Mexican experimental underground and are now poised to gain greater international acceptance.
