The respect of King Saint Ladislaus is present throughout our history. His cult is still intact 940 years after the beginning of his reign and 825 years after his canonisation.

Many songs remained from the early renaissance era about his exemplary life and knightly deeds.

In the Saint Ladislaus remembrance year, the concert presents songs and ballads from the rich musical heritage of late medieval Europe, some in connection with the knight-king.

“In many cases 21st century elements were added to the remaining fractions of songs, without ruining the performance’s authenticity. “ This is the philosophy of Custos Consort. Presenting the music of an era not played very often to this day in a newer, more dynamic format. The diversity of the cover’s instrumentation is possible thanks to the broad scale and the authenticity of the instruments used by the group.
