In this game, to become accepted, to fully become a human, one must overcome all conditioning of their primal instincts. The closer we come to ourselves, the closer we come to the evolution of our species. The body records everything we do, even if the mind chooses to forget. Then body part by body part, we become more human or for others more animal. That’s evolution, some will move on and some will get left behind. What’s within, the body speaks out.

Coober Pedy is a new and original english language play created by the ANT Theatre Company based at The ANT Collective in Budapest. It is a group devised theatre work created by the cast members of the play with Australian-born director Tibor Gede. It explores a family and the hidden worlds their minds explore as a means of coping with and avoiding the mirror within.
