BIFF After Dark – Grand Party at SOTE’s Iconic Hall

Every year, the Budapest International Film Festival aims to create unique events in remarkable Budapest locations - making the festival a true part of the city’s rhythm. This time, we’re taking over one of the great icons of socialist architecture for the the Grand Party – the grand hall of Semmelweis University at Nagyvárad Square. Together, we’ll celebrate the close of the festival week with an unforgettable night of music, dance, and color — under the glow of its kaleidoscopic stained-glass windows.

The night’s music will be as vibrant as the setting itself: from surfy psych rock to high-energy psychedelic Eastern tunes and infectious Roma rhythms. After the concerts, Gilbert Pomelo will take over the decks, blending house, funk, and R&B — before the legendary BIFF Friends, formed by the festival team, close the night with pure party classics.
