The second edition of the Greek song workshop series Heroines of Rebetiko ❉ has come to a finish — and we’re celebrating it with a special concert, together with the workshop participants and the Espéria rebetiko quartet.

At the heart of the event are 5 special songs, performed by the participants accompanied by Espéria, paying tribute to 5 legendary female voices of Greek rebetiko.

On this Sunday afternoon, chill, family-friendly concert (children and also dogs are very welcome), alongside the workshop’s “signature” songs, Espéria will also perform a selection of beautiful melodies from different periods of rebetiko.

And one more thing: this event also marks the official launch of the Alla Greca Vocal Community founded by Veronika Varga — an open singing community that anyone can join who would like to learn unique Greek songs as part of a committed, active and friendly group. (No knowledge of the Greek language or Greek background is required to join.)
