On the 18th of January, one of the hardest-working Hungarian hardcore/punk acts, Gear finally delivers their album launch show for their lately released album, 'Defined Horizons'. To make this billing even more memorable, they team up with Escalate, a vegan straight edge band from Veszprém that's signed by New Age Revords (Unbroken, Strife, Trial, etc.) and next to them, Alive Inside and Cold Brick will do their best to activate the pit.
Gear's long-awaited debut album, 'Defined Horizons' was released together by Ill Will Records and Passion Means Struggle from Germany in November 2024, and it represents a fresh splash for the whole scene, when it comes the Hungarian underground. Instead of using a tone of incitement and generating anger without purpose, Gear supports a positive mindset, aiming for answers and collaboration, while their musical inspirations show a gentle touch by the heritage of the likes of Bane, Outspoken or In My Eyes. Previously the band supported acts like Agnostic Front, One Step Closer or Bane, and we can be sure that 'Defined Horizons' will bring them to even more places.

Right before their definitive set, Escalate will fire up the pit: the band also had a quite active run behind their back, as their recently released full-length, 'Consequences' has been released by the legendary label of Mike Hartsfield (Outspoken), while the post-production was handled by no other than Scott Crouse from Earth Crisis. The band's identity was shaped by the 90s metalcore sound and vegan ethics, and thanks to their sharp riffs and their humble work, they quickly became one of the best live bands in the region. The night will also have two other guests: Alive Inside will return from Austria, as they are labelmates of Gear, and a fresh band, Cold Brick will also debut in Turbina.
